Looking for a vocal compressor. Compared Model B (hard-knee peak) to my other favourite compressor, SL63x. SL63X sounds more fat and musical but Model B seems to be very good at flattening a signal without imparting too much of its own character to the source. Model B allows the source to shine through so you can hear a nice compressed version of your source, whereas SL63x just seems to make you feel like you're listening to the compressor itself more than the original source. These "warm" compressors have a way of making things sound a bit boring and stuck back in the mix and you lose the personality and detail of the original recording, but this fairly transparent plug allows the exciting elements of the original sound to come through. The down-side is that it does seem to emphasise sibilance a bit more. Model B will be my go-to compressor. For now. CPU usage is fairly low.

Update: Have tried the other models. Model A seems to be a very heavy handed, unnatural sounding compressor. Model B is really smooth, an excellent go-to compressor. The "boosters" model C and D appear to be expanders. I didn't try model E because i still don't really understand what a side-chain compressor is. Model F is a really extreme compressor with lots of saturation/distortion, basically impossible to get a subtle, transparent compression out of it. Overall i think i'll hang onto the mono and stereo versions of model B, I'm really impressed with this one so far. I can't see myself using the other models so will probably remove them from my VST folder.

The "D" is interesting. On whole mix it really makes drums snappy and tight. Will cut cymbal tails off when set to max but easy work around.

Model B sounds nice just inserted on a track with no compression, it's got some saturation going on. The mix knob also comes in handy to blend in the saturation.
