OB-Xd - Oberheim emulation
The OB-Xd is based on the Oberheim OB-X.

It attempts to recreate its sound and behaviours, but as the original was very limited in some important ways a number of things were added or altered to the original design. The OB-Xd was designed to sound as good and as rich as the original. It implements micro random detuning which is a big part of that sound. better point.

Although it is very good, the 32 bit version does not use by VSTHOST.

Red flagged in Podium Free like no other plug in ever has. Wanted to try it versus the other OBXD, but Podium told me to exit and save everything else in a back-up file to be safe. Deemed it "quarantined". Bummer.

Just curious as to the differences from 2Dat's original version... aside from the GUI, which I like much more on this one. It is a great synth. Syncable LFO with retrigger would be a nice touch though :)

A little clicky on some sounds but overall a very beefy synth

As the web site says, use it with some fx like reverb or delay and you have a winner on your hands.

Does more than a straight Oberheim emu. Some fine sounds on this synth, you have to play with controls a bit to get the best out of it. Thanks a lot DiscoDSP. By the way we still use DiscoveryPro regularly, a mighty fine synth (not free) made by the same people.
