FTM String - String instruments
FTM String provides simulation of an oscillating string which is excited at a certain point by plucking or striking.

It can simulates a number of string instruments, like guitars, basses, and the Cembalo, but also several percussion instruments, like the xylophone, the vibraphone, and chimes.  The type of simulated instrument is determined alone by the physical parameters of the model, which can be adjusted both continuously variable and on the fly. Hence, the advantage of the plugin, and in consequence the advantage of the Functional Transformation Method (FTM), is more the variability and the flexibility of the synthesizer, rather than the exact reproduction of real instruments.

Doesn't work. I put the .dll in the plugin folder but FL Studio 11 doesn't show the plugin.

It was a university work in Germany. Not aimed to become a public plug-in but simply to apply a theory (the "functional Transformation Method") in order to test a kind of physical modeled synthesis under consideration in 2005. If we keep in mind that it was not aimed to become a public plug-in among the VSTs but a university work by a student under the supervision of his professor (the student Daniel Maaß and his professor Stefan Petrausch) in the aim to serve as experimental phase and new point of start for other future students... So we must admit that it's an excellent work.

A nice VST plugin for a stringy sound; anything from pizzicato sounds, harp like sounds to more percussion-like xylophones and so on. Works in LMMS which is handy because it was what I was using. "very bad", really? Sounded very good to me!
